About
Wild Cats
Wild Cats Feline Behaviour was set up by Francesca Lees in 2022 as a feline behaviour referral service in Plymouth, Devon. Francesca is a Registered Veterinary Nurse who holds a BSc (Hons) degree in Applied Animal Behaviour, the ISVPS Nurses Certificate in Animal Behaviour and the ISFM Certificate in Feline Nursing.

Francesca started her career as a veterinary nurse in 2014 and quickly became interested in working with cats. Francesca decided to study further certificates in feline nursing and behaviour after seeing how cats were so susceptible to stress in the veterinary environment and she wanted to do everything she could to help cats in her care to have the most positive experience as possible, whilst in the vet practice.
After qualifying as a Registered Veterinary Nurse with the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons Francesca went on to study at Sparsholt College for a degree in Applied Animal Behaviour and then decided to pursue a career as a feline behaviourist. Francesca is a full member of the Canine and Feline Behaviour Association and is a provisional Clinical Animal Behaviourist Member of the Association of Pet Behaviour Counsellors. Francesca is also a registered Animal Training Instructor with the Animal Behaviour and Training Council.
Francesca is passionate about feline behaviour and her particular interests are senior cat behaviour issues (Francesca’s dissertation focused on senior cats and the diagnosis and treatment of cats with feline Cognitive Dysfunction Syndrome), behaviour issues in indoor cats, multicat households and wild cat hybrids such as Bengals/Savannah cats.
In her spare time Francesca is kept very busy by her menagerie of animals (including the reason she became a vet nurse in the first place, her beautiful cat Kiki) and her 2 year old son. Francesca lives with her little family in Plymouth, Devon and loves the outdoors – paddleboarding, wild swimming, long dog walks and adventures in their campervan.
